- Keep everything clean, neat and uncluttered
- Clear all clutter from countertops
- Let the light in, open blinds, turn on lights, etc
- Close windows to eliminate street noise
- Install air fresheners throughout the house
- Secure pets, if needed
- Put trash cans out of sight
- Leave the radio on when you are out on a soft instrumental station
- Park campers and boats away from home during showings, if applicable
- Hang clean/attractive guest towels in bathrooms
- Check sinks and tubs to ensure they are clean
- Make beds
- Stash or throw out newspapers, magazines, junk mail, etc.
